I posted on Instagram a couple of weeks ago about my attempt to make these margaritas for Cinco De Mayo and that I might just have to post the recipe on the blog. You guys asked for it and I answered. These margs were a hit with everyone that night and is definitely a recipe worth sharing. I mean who says you can only drink margaritas on Cinco De Mayo anyways?
If you love margaritas and anything spicy, these are for you!!! My hubby LOVES all things spicy and puts red pepper flakes on pretty much everything. I should be offended that he doesn't appreciate my cooking the way it is done but I really think he has an addiction to spicy food (it’s not me, it’s you) and I don’t want my food that spicy all the time.
I made these margaritas for two reasons. One being that my hubs loves the spice. Another being that I hate tequila...soooo if there is enough spicy in my drank, I won’t taste it at all- its a win win if you ask me!
What You Need?
- 1/2 cup Tequila
- 1/4 cup Triple Sec
- 2 Tbsp lime juice
- 2 cups pineapple juice
- 1/2 cup sliced strawberries
- 1 large jalapeno, sliced
- 1 Tbsp cilantro
How Do you Do It?
- Mix all ingredients in a large pitcher and stir well.
- Pour into glass and enjoy! It is just that easy!
***For spicier taste, pour tequila and jalapeños into a container and let it infuse overnight before making margaritas.
